As the semester continues to rapidly draw to a close, we come up on yet another tradition, and really the capstone of the spring semester at Morgan, second to commencement: our annual "I Love Morgan" Day.

If you have not already filed your FAFSA for the upcoming fall Semester, it is imperative that you do so now. Usually, a lot of the students who filed their FAFSA immediately get the most money.

I Love Morgan Day is Here Again!

The week of April 19, 2008 marks the much anticipated "I Love Morgan Week," and most importantly, "I Love Morgan Day."

The festivities are similar to Morgan State University's Homecoming, minus the Homecoming game. Similar to Homecoming, "I Love Morgan Week" and "I Love Morgan Day" celebrate Morgan pride and unity.

Morgan State Participates in National Collegiate Stepping Program

Local Fraternity and Sorority step teams will compete in fifth annual "Boost Mobile Stomping On The Yard" National Step Show Tour: A Celebration of Leadership, Scholarship and Showmanship. This national step show a started in the Fall of 2003 and has since grown to entertain crowds of thousands all across college campuses.

I find it amazing that I'm actually only weeks away from graduating. Not just graduating from a school, I've done that before. But this is graduation from one kind of life to the next. May 18 passes and I'm no longer a student anymore, but a full-fledged adult.

'Black Widows' Convicted in Murder-For-Profit Scandal

Baltimore, MD-On Thursday, April 17, 2008, A Los Angeles Jury found 75 year old Olga Rutterschmidt guilty of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the 2005 killing of Kenneth McDavid, 53, a homeless man in the area.

Hungarian born Rutterschmidt and her "partner in crime", 77 year old Helen Golay of Texas allegedly concocted a plan of murder for profit; the scheme lead the women to befriend two homeless men and take them in, take out life insurance claims on them, and ultimately murder the two to collect the insurance money.

Apr.16, 2008, Baltimore, MD -- In just the second day of post-elections in Kenya, four members of the Mungiki gang of Nairobi were killed during fighting for the release of their imprisoned leader Maina Njenga, whose wife was beheaded just a week before. In addition to crossing fire with police, they burned buildings and derailed trains to express their dissatisfaction with the imprisonment of a man that they want to be free.

BALTIMORE, Md. - Morgan State University head football coach Donald Hill-Eley announced the signing of 23 high school and D-I transfers Wednesday afternoon on National Signing Day.

Overall, the 23 signees included six (6) linebackers, four (4) defensive backs, three (3) defensive ends, three (3) offensive lineman, three (3) wide receivers, three (3) quarterbacks and one (1) punter.
