This Philadelphia bred lyricist began his humble career during his middle school years, where he spent most of his class time writing rhymes to pass time. As he advanced to high school his lyrics did as well, taking him from battle rapper to conscience minded MC, whose inspiration came from a number of artists, such as Mos Def, Common, Outkast, Nas, Inferno Dash, Asheru, Little Brother, etc.
After gaining confidence and encouragement from his best friend Christopher Marisco and his two cousins Hakim Dais and Larz Jeter, he decided to invest more time in the craft. His first recorded single was recorded during his senior year of high school and was entitled "Why you do me like that!?" (produced by Sean " S.Dot" Itonyo), which told the tragic story of heart break from his new found romantic interest.
Later that year, he teamed up with school organization City-Year and participated in a school program designed to help high school artists gain experience and exposure. Through City-Year he recorded three more singles "Put ya hands up!," "Feel that," and "Slowing it down," and performed in a free concert as well. After this, Paradoxx hooked up with Paul Frison aka Mr. Out Of Order, and recorded his next single "Make Me A Believer." During this time, he began to perform at Art Nior's open mic, where he began to develop his stage presence.
During the beginning of his freshman year at Morgan State University, he hooked up with Michael Hazlip (Phoenix: The Street Rat), Roscoe: The Tattletale, and Marshall Stevenson (Ascension: The Riser) and began to write poetry. Throughout his freshman year, Paradoxx performed at such events as " Outstanding Morgan Man of the Year Awards," " Outstanding Morgan Woman Awards," and a host of other talent shows and open mics, even taking his words off campus to such respected venue's as The Haven, The 5 Seasons and Eden's Lounge.
He also teamed up with Brooklyn native Brian " B Furr" Anthony Furr to create the Hip-Hop/ Spoken Word/ New Age Duo Truth B. Told. During this past summer, he's performed at Morgan State's Summer Access Orientation Program Talent Show as the feature where he released his first CD/ Mix "Corna'z of My Mind," a CD that reflects some of the thoughts, and experiences of the Rhapsodist. He currently resides in Baltimore, MD where he attends Morgan State University as a sophomore, and is currently working with B Furr on their debut album "Guitars and Bars: Vol. 1."
