2008 Woodie Awards
On November 13, 2008 at 6pm, the Calvin and Tina Tyler Ballroom housed the "Pharaohs of Morgan" hosted by the SGA Junior Class. Here were the elite males that attended Morgan State years ago conversing and enjoying an abundant buffet with the outstanding men who are currently matriculating.
It was that time of year again, Open House at Morgan State. Balloons filled the Hill Field House as potential Morgan students attended the annual Open House on November 7, 2008. The Open House is essential to any institution of higher learning because it lets the university show what their campus has to offer in order to persuade students to attend their school the following year.
On Nov 13, 2008, beginning at 11am, the Founder's Day Convocation was held in the Murphy Fine Arts Center. "History as we know [it] gives meaning to our journey," said President Richardson as he began the convocation. The convocation gave the audience a taste of history and inspiring words for the future.
